Once again we were very conscious of the Lord's hand being on us at the annual music festival on 21st June. The singing group and the puppet team were amazed to see the number of people who stopped to listen to us perform. We are very grateful that the authorities once again allowed us to sing in the town centre, in front of the main Post Office.
A dozen people attended the three training sessions we organised on visiting the sick. This series was called "You Visited Me". The aim was to teach people what to say (and what not to say) when they visit someone who is ill – whether at home or in hospital. This is part of a programme to involve, teach and train local Christians as we prepare to leave Arras next summer.
A local student received a Gideon New Testament at the end of 2010. A few weeks later, she started to come to our church. The Lord began to convict her of her need of the Saviour. She is now growing in Christ and other members of her family are now reading the Bible. She will be baptised in January.
