The UK's nearest continental neighbour, France, also represents one of the biggest and hardest mission fields. France ahs all the trappings of an affluent and sophisticated nation and few French people would allow us to suggest otherwise. To the British, France is cheese, wine frogs, the Eiffel Tower and maybe the Cote d'Azur. To the French, it is certainly cheese and wine but also uncertainty and insecurity, as evidenced by the large numbers who associate with the occult. Evangelical Christians are comparatively few but are increasing slowly.
