Mario and Helen Ponce, 23.6.10

We now have our travelling dates for our furlough. We hope to arrive in Glasgow on the 17th Sept and leave on the 7th of Dec.

Another whole family have come to know the Lord through the radio ministry. Miriam gave her testimony yesterday at the ladies group. Her husband arrived home one weekend and on the Sunday he said to Miriam, “Do you mind if I go to church with you?”  She almost fainted. “Sure” she said. Then the son said , “Can I go too?” That morning both father and son trusted the Lord. Unknown to her he had been listening to the radio in La Paz where he works. The two girls are saved as well. She said yesterday that the whole family want to be baptised .

We were invited to Annitas for lunch last Sunday. That's the other family who were baptised a few months ago. What a joy it was to hear how God has been working in their lives. They are all so happy in The Lord. Its thrilling really.

Heber and Fiona Gallitto, 22.6.10

Gallittos familyWe’ve started a meeting for couples once a month trying to include those who live like couples, divorced, separated, widows etc.

The four childrens meetings started at Easter. We would value prayer for some who have behavioural problems. It grits your teeth when you hear five year olds insulting their mothers and when you try to correct them they answer “I hope she dies”. Pray that the Lord will give patience and wisdom to correct them in love and that they may see their need to accept Christ’s sacrifice and be transformed.

Andrew and Lorna Burt. 29.6.10

We were very encouraged by the ladies' brunch that Lorna and other women organized at the end of May.  It was held in a local hotel and 50 women came along, over 30 of which were non-Christian friends of the women in our church.  Everyone was really impacted by the message given from God's Word by Margaret and the testimony of God's work in her life by Deirdre, who are two local women from our fellowship.  Some spoke afterwards of being touched by the whole morning and one woman asked to meet up and talk more about what was shared.  Please continue to pray for the outreach to the women of our community.

Earlier this month we held our annual church weekend away.  Lorna invited her friend E (one of the mum's she knows from N & K's school) to this weekend and she brought her husband and children along.  They really enjoyed the time and were impacted by the whole weekend.  Please pray that God will continue to speak into the hearts of this family.

A week ago the ladies Bible Study group held an open-air coffee morning in Enniscorthy town square where they gave away free cups of tea & coffee, had a 'Created' craft sale and gave away free literature.  It was a beautiful sunny day which encouraged nearly 100 people to stop and chat.  Many willingly accepted a Christian magazine, some took Bibles and a few were willing to have a chat about the gospel.  It was great to see the women of the church being so keen to share their faith in such a positive and friendly way and we pray that God will water the seed that was planted in people's hearts that day.

About us..

Who are we?

We are a Christian missionary service group working with churches/local assemblies commonly known as Christian brethren.           Our primary focus is:

  • To encourage local interest in the work of mission in other lands. We do this by raising awareness through regular publications and by arranging various meetings across the country.
  • We seek to assist those who have been commended by their local assembly/church to the work of the Lord in foreign lands both in short term as well as long term service. Such support would include publicity for prayer, as well as pastoral and help in practical ways.
